Residential Italian villa style home
This project was a multi-generational family style Italian villa home to grandparents, parents, and their child. Every family member required a specific space to enjoy of their own. The theme of the design was inspired my the togetherness with of the family, so I chose to use sun as my symbol to represent the basis of my design process. Instructed to develop a full work up of architectural drawings of the villa, it was only required to focus on one of the family members special spaces as a focal space to design. In addition to the project guidelines, a physical design of a custom light fixture needed to refer to the design symbol to be incorporated in the focal space, and a creation of a 3D model of the villa floor plan to use as visual aid during the project presentation and process development of the large project.
